ALUMNI MEET & CNE ON DEVELOPMENT AND TRENDS IN NURSING
The Alumni Association of KLE Academy Of Higher Education and Research’s Institute of Nursing Sciences organized an Alumni Meet & CNE on Development and trends in Nursing by Alumni.
Total 70 alumni were present for the meet. The meet started with invocation song. The secretary of Alumni Association Dr. Sangeeta Kharde welcomed the gathering.
The function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by office bearers and seven overseas alumni. Mr Shivraj Huller, site manager at District Hospital UK, Mr. Arul Bangalore senior staff nurse in Rapid Response Center under Whittington Hospital NHS trust, Mrs. Vanessa Bangalore working as staff nurse in critical care under London North West NHS trust UK, Mr. Sanjay Shinde working as assistant professor in ministry of Education Mizan-Tepi University, Ethiopia. He has written two books in Nursing and his 2nd Book has published in Pediatric Nursing which was released in the function.
Mr. Prabhu Jevoor from University of Gondar School of Medicine and Health Science, Ethiopia and Mr Girish Degavi, Assistant professor in University Of Axum, Department of Adult Health Nursing ,College of Health Science, Ethiopia were the alumni guest speakers.
Dr. Sanjay Peerapure Principal KLE Hubli and Mr Prassanna Deshpande Principal KLE Ankola were the distinguished guests. Dr Sajay Peerapur discussed in detail the current issues of nursing in Karnataka. Dr Sudha A Raddi , Alumni President addressed the gathering and Mr. Ashok Kamat gave the vote of thanks. After the group photo and delicious lunch the function ended.
REPORT OF ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE ON ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT OF PYSCHIATRIC UNITS
The Department of Mental Health Nursing, KLEU Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, had organized a Guest Lecture on “ Administration and Management of Psychiatric Units. ” for the Nursing Students of KLEU Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi on 09th March 2017.
The Expert Lecture was delivered by Mr. Suresh Patil, Asst Prof, Dept of Mental Health Nursing KLE Societys’s Institiute of Nursing Sciences, Hubli Alumni UG batch 2006 . After the lecture the forum was open for queries to clear their doubts. Total 120 Nursing Students were benefited by the guest lecture.
All the Staffs of Department of Mental Health Nursing and M. Sc (N) 1st year students along with B. Sc (N) 3rd Year, GNM 2nd Year students had participated in the program.
ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE REPORT (20th January 2017)
KLEU’s Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, at KLE University’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Department of OBG Nursing organized a Guest lecture on topic “MANAGEMENT OF POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME” on 20 January 2017 from 3pm – 5pm at Seminar hall.
The guest speaker Usha Bhandari – P.G batch 2007 and Alumni 2009 batch, presently working as Vice Principal, BHIMS College Of Nursing Belgavi,Speaker spoke regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS is a condition in which a woman’s levels of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone are out of balance According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, between 1 in 10 and 1 in 20 women of childbearing age suffers from PCOS, and 1 in 5 women suffers
From PCOD in India, cause, signs and symptoms, diagnostic evaluation, medical and nursing
Management was dealt in detail. The lecture was very interactive where participant participated
actively and after the lecture, the forum was open for all to clear their doubts.

GUEST LECTURE REPORT ON “BIRTH PLANNING FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH OF MOTHER AND BABIES (22nd October 2016)
Department of OBG Nursing of KLEU’s Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi organized a Guest lecture on “Birth planning for safety and health of mother and babies” at KLE University’s Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, on 22 October 2016 from 11am to 12.30pm by Asst Prof, Asha Bhathkande, Dept of OBG (N), KLEs Institute of Nursing Sciences, Hubballi.
Guest speaker spoke regarding how to maintain health of the mother during pregnancy, safety aspects, antenatal exercises, different methods of delivery, place of delivery, breast feeding including demand feeding as well exclusive breast feeding, family welfare programs etc. After the lecture, the forum was open for all to clear their doubts.
Total participants were 195.
ALUMNI MEET 2016
KLE Academy Of Higher Education and Research’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized 5th Alumni meet on 6th September 2016 at 4pm in seminar hall of Institute. Total 50 alumni attended the gathering. The function started with invocation song. The executive committee and our international Alumni were welcomed formally.
The meeting was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. All the office bearer, Ex Principal Dr Prof R.S.Hooli and our special guest and invitees Mr Rajeev Metri and his family from UK, Mrs Sonia Awale from Canada, Mr Sanjay Shinde from Ethiopia (East-Africa) and Mr Ganpath from New Zealand shared their views, thoughts, experiences. They expressed their gratitude towards the faculty who led them for good carrier in the life.
The SPLICE-2016 Alumni News letter was released by all dignitaries and invitees. The Ex principal Dr. R.S.Hooli was felicitated on behalf of teacher’s day for his contribution towards the institution. The president of Alumni cell Dr Sudha Raddi Dean and Principal presented the updates of the institution briefly. The treasurer Dr Sangeeta Moreshwar proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting ended with group pictures and Hi-Tea.
ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE (25th August 2016)
KLE Academy Of Higher Education and Research’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Department of Community Health Nursing had organized a guest lecture on 25th August 2016 on topic “Health Management & Information System” at Seminar hall.
Mr. Avinash Salunke – P.G batch 2004 and Alumni 2007 batch, presently working as Vice principal, Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences Karad, Maharastra was the guest speaker. He explained about Introduction, Progress in information and communication technology, Impact on quality of health care, Impact on economics, Changing health care, Importance of systematic information management, Roles and Skills of Health Informaticians of Health Management & Information System in detail.
Total 160 participants and Faculty from departmental were present.
