A training programme on first aid has been organized by Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi at kwality Animal Feeds Pvt. Ltd, A.P. Rajgoli BK. On 18/06/2021. 20 employees of kwality Animal Feeds Pvt. Ltd, attended the training programme. The training programme inaugurated at 10:30AM. The session on First Aid were facilitated by Mr. Ashok Kamat, HOD Nursing Foundation. Mr. Manjunath S, asst professor, Mr. Laxmikanth B, Senior Tutor, Ms. Rajashree K, Senior Tutor, and Mrs. Laxmi K, Senior Tutor,KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi.

The training focused on Aim of First Aid, how to perform CPR, Definition and type of Bandages, wound care, how to manage every day minor accidents and community emergencies Learn how to treat and manage minor cuts, grazes, lifting & shifting, bleeding and burns. First Aid generally consists of a series of simple and in some cases, potentially lifesaving techniques that an individual can be trained to perform with minimal equipment. In the post lunch session, the demonstration of the first aid procedures by all resource persons. Followed by group activities by the participants.

All the expert lectures were well appreciated by all the participants who were beneficial for them in the knowledge & practice aspects in the field.
