University\u2019s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized a one day workshop on \u201cFirst Aid Training\u201d on 3rd November 2018 at Seminar Hall, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi. The\n                      workshop considered &amp; highlighted the goal of the First Aid training for HESCOM employees. There were totally 40 number of participants for the workshop. The workshop started at 9am with the inauguration. The welcome speech was\n                      delivered by Organizing Chairperson, Mr. Ashok Kamat,Asso Prof &amp; HOD Department of Nursing Foundations.<\/p>\n                    <p>Mr.Nataji P Patil. Vice president HESCOM, Belagavi,Who was instrumental for the occasion, He spoke &amp; emphasized on importance on First Aid training for HESCOM employees. The Scientific sessions began at 10:30am. In the first session\n                      Mr. Ashok K., Associate Professor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, delivered an expert lecture on \u201cGolden Rules of First Aid\u201d and \u201cFracture\u201d. The second session of lecture was on \u201celectric\n                      shock and its first aid, which was delivered by Miss. Rajashree K. senior tutor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, Miss Shridevi T. senior tutor Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER\n                      Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, rendered a lecture on \u201cHemorrhage &amp;Wound Dressing\u201d. Lecture on \u201cLifting &amp; Shifting\u201d was dealt by Mr. Laxmikant B. Senior Tutor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of\n                      Nursing Sciences Belagavi.At the end of morning the sessions Mr. Manjunath S. Assistant professor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, rendered an expert lecture &amp; demonstration on\n                      Cardio pulmonary resuscitation,<\/p>\n                    <p>In the post lunch session the demonstration of the first aid procedures in Nursing Foundation lab by all resource persons. Followed by group activities by the participants, which was managed by department staffs. All the expert lectures\n                      were well appreciated by all the participants which were beneficial for them in the knowledge &amp; practice aspects in the field. The workshop sessions ended at 4.00pm. The valedictory function is held at 4.30pm Prof. (Dr.) SudhaRaddi,\n                      Principal, KLE University\u2019s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belgaum, who was instrumental for the function, unable to attend the valedictory function because of busy schedule,she conveyed her wishes &amp; congratulated the organizers\n                      &amp; participants for the successful workshop. THE first aid box are donated to the HESCOM employees by the vice Principal Mrs. Sumitra L A. &amp; HOD Mr Ashok K.<\/p>\n                    <p>The Participants applauded and gave their views on workshop through the evaluation sheet; on the basis of evaluation 96% of participants appreciated the workshop.
