On April 23, 2026, landmark collaboration between KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER), Belagavi, and Southern Cross University (SCU), Australia, was formalized with the inauguration of a dedicated Research and Education\n Hub. The event served as a platform to strengthen international ties in health professional education and research, with a focus on global knowledge advancement and institutional synergy.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by high-ranking officials from both universities, signifying a strong commitment to the partnership. Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava, Hon\u2019ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vishwanath Pattanshetti, Registrar, and other officials\n from KAHER, Belagavi, honored the occasion. From SCU, distinguished attendees included Professor Julie Jomeen, Deputy Vice- Chancellor (Academic); Professor Renaud Joannes-Boyau, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research); Professor Jon Wardle,\n Director of the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine; Prof. Christina Aggar, Faculty of Health; Mr. James Freckleton from the SCU Research Office; and Subhi Pradhan, Senior Global Officer (South Asia).<\/p>\n

The program commenced with the formal inauguration of the Research and Education Hub. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the dignitaries conducted a facility visit to inspect the infrastructure dedicated to collaborative research.\n Opening remarks were delivered by the Hon\u2019ble Vice Chancellor of KAHER and the Hon\u2019ble Deputy Vice-Chancellor of SCU, both emphasizing that the hub would serve as a bridge for faculty and student exchange. Prof. Dr. Veereshkumar\n Nandagaon welcomed the dignitaries and delivered a presentation outlining the strategic objectives of the hub. This was followed by Prof. Christina Aggar, who formally introduced the Australian executive team.<\/p>\n

The core of the event was the Agreement Signing Ceremony, which established a framework for joint research projects and publications, cross-institutional faculty development programs, and international student mobility and credit transfer\n opportunities. Following the signing, the Hon\u2019ble Vice Chancellor and the KAHER team felicitated the Australian dignitaries as a gesture of professional and cultural appreciation. The final segment of the day was dedicated to open\n networking, where faculty members and researchers from both universities engaged in breakout discussions to identify immediate areas for joint research, particularly in health professional education and innovative clinical practices.<\/p>\n

The inauguration of the Research and Education Hub marks a successful transition from planning to execution for the KAHER\u2013SCU partnership. By aligning the academic rigor of Southern Cross University with the clinical excellence of\n KAHER, this initiative stands as a true \u201cGlobal Initiative for Knowledge and Advancement.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
