GUEST LECTURE ON IMPACT CLIMATE CHANGE ON HUMAN HEALTH
The Department of Community Health Nursing of KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi organized an alumni guest lecture on the impact of climate change on human health. The event took place on July 31, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
The guest speaker, Mr. Mallikarjun P., Associate Professor, SDM College of Nursing, Dharwad, discussed the impacts of increasing extreme heat, worsening air quality, the spread of infectious diseases, and disruptions to food and water systems. He highlighted that these changes lead to direct physical harm, chronic illness, and mental stress worldwide.
A total of 100 BSc.Nursing students benefitted from the programme.

ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE ON "PARTOGRAPH"
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing successfully organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on "Partograph" on 29 July 2026 in the Seminar Hall for 6th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students. The session was delivered by Ms. Ekta Karkal, Lecturer, Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim, Goa, a distinguished alumna of the institution.
The lecture focused on the effective use of the partograph in monitoring the progress of labour and its role in promoting safe maternal and neonatal outcomes. A total of 51 students from the 6th Semester B.Sc. Nursing programme actively participated in the session, which provided valuable clinical insights and enhanced their understanding of evidence-based
intrapartum care.

ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE ON “OVERSEAS OPPORTUNITIES FOR NURSES”
The KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized Alumni Guest Lecture on “Stepping up the ladder in professional career” on 21st June 2024 at 3 to 4pm.
Cllr Rajeev Metri. Senior Cardiac Nurse, Cath Lab Coordinator, Health & Safety MH trainer, Advisor & Manager BCUHB NHS Wales UK, motivated the second-year students regarding overseas opportunity for nurse. The principal and alumni association members KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi. present over the function.
Beneficiaries: 91 students.
