KLE’S NRI Alumni Nurses Interaction with Dr. Prabhakar Kore
NRI Alumni Nurses of KLE Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized worldwide live interaction with Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Chairman KLE Society & Chancellor, KAHER, Belagavi on 2nd August, 2020 at 5.00 m IST.
More than 70 Alumni Nurses working in USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UAE, Australia, Ethiopia & Kuwait interacted in this event at different time zones from their places.
This Alumni Interaction was organized by Councilor Rajeev Metri from Wales, Mr. Ishwar Shegunashi from Ireland and Mr. Shivanand Nashipudi from England.
Dr. Sudha Raddi, Principal, KLE Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi welcomed all the alumni and briefed them about the growth of the institute over the period of time having 6 nursing colleges in Northern Karnataka with an output of more than 500 graduate nurses every year. All participants introduced themselves and shared their experiences of working in different capacities in health sector abroad. Many of them were thrilled to revive their old memories of college days in Belagavi and how their personality was molded and how the brand name of KLE helped them to get adequate employment opportunities from reputed hospitals abroad.
In this regard, Dr. Kore was very happy to see all the proud alumni who are making the KLE Family feel proud. He specifically discussed on issues related to COVID-19 and how it is managed in their hospitals abroad as compared to Indian scenario. The Live Interaction was very fruitful in terms of information exchange and many new things pertaining to advanced infection control measures, the quick response system in health care sector and the flourishing employment opportunities for Indian Nurses abroad.
Discussions on knowledge exchange pertaining to critical care and new horizons in nursing education were an interesting part of this interaction.
All the Alumni expressed their deep sense of gratitude and their interest, commitment to support the good cause in terms of knowledge and support for any future endeavors of the institute.
Dr. Prabhakar Kore threw light on the new education policy introduced by Government of India where more stress was given to educate children in their mother tongue till 5th standard and this was very well appreciated by all the alumni. He also suggested that such meetings should happen regularly which can motivate and build confidence among future budding nurses.
Shri.Amit. Kore, Director KLE Society & Chairman, Governing Body, KLES Dr.Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital, Belagavi also addressed alumni and expressed his gratitude and wished them for their bright future.
