Department of OBG Nursing, Institute of Nursing Sciences, KAHER, Belagavi organized awareness program on “Breast Feeding and Its Importance” on the occasion of Breast-feeding week on 05th August 2024 at Postnatal ward of KLEs Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital, Belagavi. Awareness was given by Mrs. Shubharani Muragod, and Dr. Uma Kole, Asst Prof, Dept of OBG Nursing, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi. Topics covered were Importance of breast feeding, LATCH, positions and techniques of breast feeding and prevention of hypothermia, followed by distribution of newborn baby cloths. Dr. Asha Bhat Assot Prof, HOD Dept. of OBG Nursing, Mrs. Gineta C.H. Asst Prof, Dr. Shweeta D, Senior Tutor and Mrs. Drakshayani Kadabadi, Floor Supervisor and PNC ward staffs were present in the event. Total 25 mothers and 05 caretaker were benefited.
