Department of Medical Surgical Nursing organized on Continued Nursing Education (CNE) on “DIABETIC CARE” on 21st November 2023 at Seminar hall, KLE University’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi.

The first session started at 9.30 am to 10.15 am. It was on Introduction to Diabetes Mellitus by Mr.Jonathan Borges, Senior Tutor, Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing, KAHER INS, Belagavi.

The Second session of CNE started at 10.15 am to 11.00 am. It was taken by Dr. Vikrant Ghatnatti, Endocrinologist, Dept of JNMC, Belagavi. He spoke on Basis of Diabetes Mellitus.

At 11 am Inauguration function begined. It started with welcome address was given by Prof.(Dr) Preeti Bhupali , Dean & HOD, Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing, KAHER, INS Belagavi and Prof.(Dr.) Veeresh.Kumar.Nandagaon, Principal, KAHER INS Belagavi addressed the CNE. followed by offering the rose saplings to the dignitaries.

The third session was started at 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. It was managed by Dr. Manjunath Goroshi, Endocrinologist,Dept of, JNMC, Belagavi. . He spoke on Advances in Insulin therapy.

The Fourth session of CNE started at 2.15 pm to 3.00 pm. It was taken by Dr. Savitri M Marakatti, Dietician, Dr.KLE Prabhakar Kore Hospital , Belagavi. She spoke on Dietary Management of Diabetes Mellitus.

The Fifth Session of CNE started at 3 pm to 4.00 pm. It was taken by Mr.Sumeet Shinde, Senoir Tutor, KAHER INS , Belagavi. He Explained on Nursing Management of Patients with Diabetes Mellitus.

At 4.00pm to 4.30pm valedictory function was done. The CNE came to an end by distribution of certificates. Total 190 delegates from Shree Basava Guru Nursing College ,Vijaya Nursing College and KAHER Nursing colleges students and teaching faculty were present.
