Lamp Lightening & Oath Taking Ceremony (12/12/2023)
KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi organized LAMP LIGHTING & OATH TAKING CEREMONY of 37th Batch of GNM (Diploma in Nursing) and 34th Batch of B.Sc Nursing on 12th December 2023.
Prof (Dr). Veereshkumar Nandgaon, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries.
Chief Guest for the Function Sri.Madivalappa Nagarahalli, Secretary of the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board (KSDNEB), Bengaluru, addressed the young student nurses about the characteristics and accountability of the nursing profession. He also stressed that nurses are compassionate heroes and play a vital role in the health care system.
Guest of Honor Dr. Jyothi Nagamoti, Controller of Examination, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research Belagavi, said that being compassionate, respecting the dignity of the patient, and having the right attitude towards human values are essential aspects of being a nurse.
Dr. Nitin Gangane, Vice Chancellor, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi, in his presidential remarks, congratulated the newly joined students for choosing one of the best colleges in India. He also mentioned that nursing education is entirely based on competency.
The Florence Nightingale oath was recited to the students by Prof (Dr). Sangeeta Kharade, Vice Principal, and Prof (Dr). Preeti Bhupali, Dean, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, to practice their profession faithfully and confidently.
A total of 105 B.Sc. nursing students and 100 GNM (diploma) nursing students took the oath during the lamp lighting ceremony.
Mrs. Babita Patil, Advisor, Student Nurses Association, KAHER, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, Principals and University officials were present during the function.
Mr.Sangangowda Shanabhog, Assistant Professor, KAHER, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
