Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking Ceremony “Samarpana” (12/12/2023)
KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi organized LAMP LIGHTING & OATH TAKING CEREMONY of 37th Batch of GNM (Diploma in Nursing) and 34thBatch of B.ScNursing on 12th December 2023. Prof (Dr).VeereshkumarNandgaon, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries.
Chief Guest for the FunctionSri.MadivalappaNagarahalli, Secretary of the Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board (KSDNEB), Bengaluru,addressed the young student nurses about the characteristics and accountability of the nursing profession. He also stressed that nurses are compassionate heroes and play a vital role in the health care system. Guest of HonorDr. JyothiNagamoti, Controller of Examination, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research Belagavi, said that being compassionate, respecting the dignity of the patient, and having the right attitude towards human values are essential aspects of being a nurse.
Dr. NitinGangane,Vice Chancellor, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi, in his presidential remarks, congratulated the newly joined students for choosing one of the best colleges in India. He also mentioned that nursing education is entirely based on competency. The Florence Nightingale oath was recited to the students byProf (Dr).SangeetaKharade, Vice Principal, and Prof (Dr).PreetiBhupali, Dean, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, to practice their profession faithfully and confidently.
A total of 105 B.Sc. nursing students and100 GNM (diploma) nursing students took the oath during the lamp lighting ceremony. Mrs. BabitaPatil, Advisor, Student Nurses Association, KAHER, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, Principals and University officialswere present during the function. Mr. SangangowdaShanabhog, Assistant Professor, KAHER, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
