Department of Nursing Education (DONE), KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, organized virtual guest lecture on “ADVOCACY IN NURSING” on 25  ^th January 2021 at KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi. Guest speaker was Dr Shreedevi Balachandran, Lecturer , College of Nursing Sultan Qaboos University , Muscat, Oman.

Guest speaker continued with the session with what is Advocacy and how it is close to nurses heart as it helps to make right choices and decision and maintain nurse client relationship based on respect , trust etc.  Nurses sense of responsibility focuses on the needs of patient with their clinical experiences and skill levels. Dr Shreedevi also told about the positive and negative consequences with lively examples the session was very interactive. Final year UG and PG students , all teaching faculties  including Nitte Usha CON Mangalore, Siddharth CON , Tumkur and Devraj Urs CON Kolar teaching faculties participated Total participants were 141 students and faculties.
