KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized annual sports meet from 24th March to 26th March 2021. Ms. Anthea Gonsalves, General Secretary of SNA 2020-21 welcomed the Chief Guest – Mr. Satyanarayan Vernekar, Dy. Range Forest Officer, Belagavi; Dr. Sudha A Raddi, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing sciences; HODs and other teaching and non-teaching faculties. Mr. Manjunath Sogalad, SNA advisor introduced the Chief Guest of the function. Dr Sudha A Raddi welcomed the Chief guest by giving a token of love and appreciation. Other dignitaries were welcomed by the SNA members. The Sports meet was inaugurated by hoisting the flag and Oath was delivered by the chief guest. After the declaration of the sports meet open, March past competition was held for all the students batch wise.

Mr. Satyanarayan Vernekar gave a speech on the importance of sports and his lifetime achievements. Dr. Sudha A Raddi spoke on Sportsmanship spirit and also highlighted that winning is not the priority but the participation. Mr. Myron Rodrigues, Sports Secretary of SNA 2020-21 delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the inauguration ceremony.

All the athletic events, kabadi, kho-kho, javeline throw, cricket, tug of war, shot put and discus throw were held at District stadium Belagavi; volleyball, football and throw ball were conducted in USM hostel campus; and indoor events (badminton, Carom, chess, table tennis) was conducted in indoor stadium of KAHER, Belagavi. Teaching and non teaching faculty were present during the Inauguration. Many students participated and won the prizes.
