Department of OBG Nursing, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi in collaboration with Society of Midwifes, India (SOMI)Karnataka Chapter celebrated “World Breast feeding week 2021” on 05th August 2021 at KLE’s Dr. PrabhakarKore Charitable Hospital Belagavi.Event was celebrated by distributing newborn baby cloths to postnatal mothers and followed by awareness on Beast feeding: techniques, position and advantages to new born baby and mother. Dr. SudhaRaddi, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi& President Karnataka Chapter, SOMI.MrsAshaBhat, Chapter secretory, SOMI, Mrs.ShubharaniMuragod, Mrs.NirmalaD’souza and Mrs. Uma Kole, Mrs. Gineta C, Asst Prof , Dept of OBG Nursing, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi and Mrs. Shweta D, Mrs. BabithaPatil Senior Tutor KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi and the staff nurses were participated in the programme.

Total 29 postnatal mothers were the beneficiaries of the event and clarified their doubts.
