Department of Nursing Foundations, KLE University’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized a one day workshop on “First Aid” on 3rd May 2019West CoastPaper Mill, Minerals Technology India Pvt Ltd Dandeli. The workshop considered & highlighted the goal of the First Aid training for Paper Mill employees. There were totally 30 number of participants for the workshop.

The workshop started at 10am with the inauguration. The welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Sudheer Kumar Plant Manager, West Coast Paper Mill, Minerals Technology India Pvt Ltd Dandeli. The Scientific sessions began at 10:30am. In the first session Mr. Ashok K., Associate Professor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, delivered an expert lecture on “Golden Rules of First Aid” and “Fracture”. The second session of lecture was on “Bandages and Epistaxis, which was delivered by Mrs. Laxmi K. senior tutor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, Miss Shridevi T. senior tutor Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, rendered a lecture on “Burns &Wound Dressing. Mr. Manjunath S. Assistant professor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, rendered an expert lecture & demonstration on Cardio pulmonary resuscitation.

In the post lunch session the demonstration of the first aid procedures by all resource persons. Followed by group activities by the participants. All the expert lectures were well appreciated by all the participants who were beneficial for them in the knowledge & practice aspects in the field. The workshop sessions ended at 4.00pm. The valedictory function is held at 4.30pm Mr. Ashok K.Asso Prof & HOD Dept of nursing foundations,Mr.Manjunath S. Asst Prof, MrsLaxmi K., Senior Tutor Miss. Shridevi T., Senior Tutor, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, andWest Coast Paper Mill, Minerals Technology India Pvt Ltd Dandeli, employees were presented.

The first aid box are donated to the West CoastPaper Mill employees by Mr. Ashok K. Associate Professor, Department of Nursing Foundations, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, Mr. Ashok K.Asso Prof & HOD dept of nursing foundations,Mr.Manjunath S. Asst Prof, MrsLaxmi K., Senior Tutor Miss. Shridevi T., Senior Tutor, Department of Nursing Foundations,were present on the occasion.
