On April 23, 2026, KAHER, Belagavi, and Southern Cross University (SCU), Australia, inaugurated the Research and Education Hub to strengthen international collaboration in health professional education and research. The event was attended by Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vishwanath Pattanshetti, Registrar, Dr. Sucheta B., Director, KAHER R&D Cell, Dr. Veereshkumar N., Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, and other officials from KAHER. Distinguished delegates from SCU included Professor Julie Jomeen, Professor Renaud Joannes-Boyau, Professor Jon Wardle, Prof. Christina Aggar, Mr. James Freckleton, and Ms. Subhi Pradhan.

The program included the inauguration ceremony, facility visit, presentations on the hub’s objectives, and the signing of an agreement to promote joint research, faculty and student exchange, publications, and academic collaborations. The event concluded with networking discussions focused on future collaborative projects in health sciences and clinical education.
