KAHER, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi conducted Student Induction Programme(SIP) – “Deeksharambh”- 2026 for students admitted to the B.Sc. Nursing course for the year 2026-2027 from 3 ^rd August to 8 ^th August 2026

Dr. Veereshkumar Nandagaon, Principal warmly welcomed the parents and students, highlighting the vision and mission of the institution, academic standards, discipline, and the values expected from future nursing professionals. Dr .Gavi Salimath Dean Faculty of Nursing provided an overview of the academic programme, clinical training, student support services, and campus facilities. HODs of all department and Faculty members were present during the occasion Parents were encouraged to actively support their children’s academic and personal development.

The interactive session allowed parents to clarify their queries regarding academics, hostel facilities, examinations, and student welfare. The meeting concluded on a positive note, fostering mutual trust and strengthening the partnership between the institution and parents to ensure the holistic growth and success of the students.

The induction programme continued for 1 week as per the schedule where students were oriented on the institute, curriculum, library, hostel rules, anti-ragging policies, discipline, NSS activities, SNA, professional etiquette, and study habits. Expert sessions on gender sensitization, drug abuse prevention, breast screening awareness, intellectual property rights, communication, and personal health were also conducted.

During six-day Orientation Programme for the newly admitted B.Sc. Nursing 1st Year students from 3rd August to 8th August 2026. The programme was designed to familiarize students and their parents with the institute, curriculum, facilities, rules and regulations, and the nursing profession.

The orientation commenced with office formalities and an interaction session with parents and students. Throughout the programme, students received orientation on the institute, curriculum, library, hostel rules, anti-ragging policies, discipline, NSS activities, SNA, professional etiquette, and study habits. Expert sessions on gender sensitization, drug abuse prevention, breast screening awareness, intellectual property rights, communication, and personal health were also conducted.

Students were introduced to the Nursing Foundation Laboratory and visited the KLE University campus, JNMC, Central Library, Simulation Lab, and other essential facilities. They also interacted with the Medical Superintendent and Nursing Superintendent of KLE’s Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC and Charitable Hospital, providing them with an overview of the clinical training environment.

The orientation programme successfully prepared the students for their academic and professional journey by fostering confidence, awareness, discipline, and a sense of belonging to the institution.
