The Department of Medical Surgical Nursing organized an Organ Donation Awareness Program on 28 July 2026 at KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC, Belagavi, with the aim of creating awareness regarding the importance of organ donation and promoting positive attitudes towards organ and tissue donation.

The one-day programme comprised an awareness skit, educational presentations,and interactive sessions addressing the process, myths, facts, and life-saving benefits of organ donation. A total of 500 participants, including doctors, faculty members, postgraduate students, students, and members of the general public, benefited from the programme. 105 students and 08 faculty members actively participated in the programme. The initiative successfully enhanced awareness and encouraged participants to support and promote organ donation within the community.
