The Department of OBG Nursing, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, conducted an awareness programme for school teachers of Shri Shivbasaveshwar English Medium School and Shrimati G. G. Yellur School on 10 September 2026 at 3:30 p.m. The programme focused on creating awareness regarding Breast cancer, including its prevention and early detection.

Following the awareness session, a practical demonstration on Breast Self-Examination (BSE) was conducted to equip the teachers with the knowledge and skills to perform BSE correctly and routinely on their own. The session emphasized the importance of regular self- examination and early identification of breast abnormalities.

The awareness session and demonstration were conducted by Dr. Uma N., Associate Professor, Department of OBG Nursing, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi.
