KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, Department of Mental Health Nursing Organized a CNE on “Organic Brain Disorder” on 26th March 2026. The event started with inauguration by watering the plant.

The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Vishwas Yadwad, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry J N Medical College, KAHER, Belagavi. Dr. Manjunath. Sogalad, Associate Professor addressed the gathering and welcomed the Chief Guest. The Presidential remark was given by Prof (Dr) Veereshkumar Nandagaon, Principal. Prof (Dr) Sangeeta Kharade, Dean and Prof (Dr) PreetiBhupali, Vice Principal were present.

The first session was conducted by Dr. Manjunath Sogalad, Associate Professor on the topic “Introduction on Organic Brain Disorder”. The second session was conducted by Dr. Vishwas Yadwad Assistant Professor on the topic “Dementia”. He emphasized on the care and management of Dementia patients. The third session was conducted by Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal KLE Centenary College of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi delivered a lecture on “Delirium”. He briefed about etiological factors clinical manifestation, diagnostic factors, care and management of delirium patients. The fourth session was carried out by Dr. Gururaj Udapi, Associate Professor on “Role of nurse in managing Organic Brain Disorders”. He mainly focused on application of nursing process in care of organic brain disorders. The last practical session was conducted by Mrs.Sushma Patil on case scenario discussion on “Organic Brain Disorders”. The delegates actively participated in the Practical session and were benefitted.The delegates from various institution namely BIMS college of Nursing, Lakeview college of Nursing, Centenary college of Nursing Sciences, Yellur, Belagavi and KLE college of Nursing, Dandeli were present. Around 60 delegates participated in the Continuing Nursing Workshop (CNE) and were benefitted with the sessions.
