KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized a Women’s Day celebration on 17th March 2026 with great enthusiasm and respect. 

The event aimed to recognize the contributions of women and to promote awareness about women’s empowerment, equality, and leadership in society.

The program commenced with a formal welcome, followed by the inauguration ceremony. The dignitaries of the event included Dr. Priya Puranik, a visionary leader and social entrepreneur, and Smt. Suman Pawar, PSI, Cybercrime Police Station, Belagavi City, as the Chief Guests, whose presence added grace and significance to the occasion.

Dr. Veereshkumar Nandgaon, Principal, introduced chief guests and delivered an insightful speech highlighting the importance of empowering women through education, skill development, and equal opportunities. He emphasized the significant role women play in the healthcare sector and encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to society.

The Chief Guests shared their valuable thoughts and experiences, inspiring students and faculty by emphasizing women’s strength, resilience, and achievements in various fields.

The celebration included various engaging activities such as speeches, cultural programs, hairstyle competation, Mehandi competaion and fun games that showcased the talents, confidence, and achievements of women. These activities helped in spreading awareness about the importance of gender equality and respect. Spot prizes were also distributed to the winners, adding excitement and enthusiasm to the event.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support.

The Women’s Day celebration was a memorable and inspiring event, encouraging everyone to uphold the values of equality, dignity, and empowerment.
